Take a Prayer Break to join in prayer for our community today from 11:30 – 11:45 in the Chapel of the Incarnation.

We will use this Prayer Break to lift up the needs and joys of the Luther community; those unable to attend in person are invited to pray in their own time and place by joining in the prayers below:

* Jody Nyenhuis (staff member) and family at the death of Jody’s sister-in-law, Sandy

* For our sibling in Christ who’s life is constant juggling and who yearns to be still in God’s presence

Worship Lab will be leading the chapel service on Tuesday April 16th. This will be the Good Tuesday service (the campus Good Friday service just before we begin Easter break). We will have a focus on international music for this service.

We would love to have you join us in planning and leading this service. We will be meeting on Tuesday April 2nd from 2:00-4:00 and Tuesday April 9th from 2:00-3:00. No experience is necessary to participate, simply an openness to creativity and the Holy Spirit!

Acclaimed filmmaker and producer Martin Doblmeier will be the featured speaker at an early afternoon event at Luther on Friday, April 12th from 1 pm to 2:30 pm in OCC10. Doblmeier is renowned for his films on Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Reinhold Niebuhr, the Amish Community and Forgiveness, Chaplains, and now a brand new film on African American Christian contemplative and civil rights activist, Howard Thurman.

Doblmeier will be joined by a group of students and pastoral leaders who will engage him in conversation, opening up a dialogue with the larger group who gathers. Come and join us for a vivid and exciting discussion!

Luther is co-sponsoring an evening showing of the film “Backs Against the Wall: The Howard Thurman Story” at St. Kate’s on the evening of April 12th. This is a free event, but you need to register in advance. Current student Timothy Jackson, and adjunct faculty member Vivian Jenkins Nelsen, will be part of the discussion following the film.

The Luther Place parking lot, south of Gullixson Hall, is open for parking. Zvago continues to work on the building and there are materials and equipment within the lot that will be present through the end of April 2019. Use caution when entering and leaving this lot.

Access through the South door of Gullixson Hall is not available at this time but will be accessible soon. Watch for the construction fence to be removed.
