Mondays, 11 am – 12:10 pm, in OCC 215

All are welcome to gather for study and reflection on the texts for the upcoming Sunday, as appointed in the Revised Common Lectionary. We aim for a preacher’s perspective, whether or not we’re actually preaching this week, as we listen to God and notice the Holy Spirit moving. NRSV texts are provided, and sometimes we look up the Greek or Hebrew or other translations. You’re welcome to bring your lunch as well as yourself. This study is facilitated by Beth Parks (eparks001@luthersem.edu) and part of SpiritLab.

The Fall Election for Luther Seminary Student Council kicks off this weekend! This is a great opportunity to get involved and serve our community – we would love to have you (yes, you!) so please do consider running!

Nominations for Student Council are open September 9-16.

Student Council meetings are the third Friday of every month (as holidays allow) scheduled from 10:00-11:30am. We hope you’ll consider joining Student Council!

This Sunday, September 9th, Community Life will be having its annual Back-to-School Block Party! Join us on the back patio of the Olson Campus Center from 4:30 – 6:30 pm for food, yard games, and even a cake walk! All students, staff, and faculty are invited and encouraged to bring families along!

Additionally, we will be collecting donations for the Lutheran Social Services “Blizzard Boxes.” These boxes ensure that older adults who received LSS Meals on Wheels have nutritious food, even when regular meal deliveries are canceled due to inclement weather.

Requested Donation items are listed below:

– Cans of Chicken or Tuna – Cans of Fruit – Packages of Peanut Butter/Cheese Crackers – Hot Cocoa Packets – Granola Bars

The chapel staff invites you to become involved in the seminary’s worship life in whatever ways you are able from being an assisting minister to being a lector, serving communion to singing and playing music, etc.

During Orientation Days, newer students had an opportunity to fill out a Worship Volunteer Form.  But we also want to reach out to returning students, and all staff and faculty. Please share your gifts and leadership with the worshiping community!

Welcome to fall 2018! Over the summer, we made progress in our process of transitioning to the campus of the future, centered around Olson Campus Center and Gullixson Hall.

We’d like to invite you to a community conversation about that progress, including the latest schematic design drawings from our architectural firm and updates about our housing strategy and the sale of the lower campus.

There are three conversations planned: one in person and two online for our distributed community and anyone else who cannot attend in person.
