Tuesday Chapel: Contemplative Somatic Practices
We gather at 11:00 a.m. central in the Meditation Chapel (upper level OCC) and online (link in email) for contemplative somatic practices facilitated by Cody Sanders, associate professor of Congregational and Community Care Leadership. Fear, sadness, and anger are constant companions to many right now. And we hold anxiety, stress, and even trauma in our bodies. Our bodyminds need consistent care that moves beyond the rational and attends to the ways these experiences are held in our bodies. Join Cody Sanders for a 30-minute session of contemplative somatic practices that will include sound, breath, and caring attention to the body. Together, we’ll be guided through a few trauma-informed somatic practices that can be used throughout one’s day to prayerfully and contemplatively attend with care to your own embodied experience in the days ahead.

We’re Getting the Choir Back Together
Do you love singing? All students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the Luther Seminary choir. All skill and experience levels are welcome! We rehearse weekly on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Incarnation, beginning November 19 (next week). We will be singing in Wednesday worship at least once a month for the remainder of the school year. If you are planning on joining us, please fill out this brief Choir Interest and Availability form to add your name to the choir email list and give us an idea of what our voice part may be. If you have no idea what part you sing that’s okay—please still fill out the form so we know you will be joining us. If you have any questions or cannot make rehearsals but still want to sing, please contact director Sarah Yotter at syotter001@luthersem.edu.
