Welcome Back Coffee – On Site Gathering – Tuesday, September 26
For those on campus this day join us for a sweet or savory treat from Fruit & Grain Bakery, we will also have some gluten-free options along with your choice of beverage from Elite Espresso Coffee. They will have a number of regular menu and seasonal menu drinks.
We are thankful as we begin our Fall Semester for each of our students, staff members and faculty members. We look forward with excitement as Luther Seminary teams continue to serve and learn together as we follow Jesus “in our swiftly changing world.”
This event will happen on September 26 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
We will meet between Bockman and Gullickson Halls where the coffee and goodies will be set up. (If it is raining we will have our coffee under the outside overhang on Olson Community Center’s Cafeteria right off the main sidewalk between buildings.

ELCA Endorsement Info Sessions
Did you just complete CPE or are you in the process of completing CPE? Ashley Wheeler will be holding info sessions on Tuesday, September 26 at 4:30 p.m. (central), Monday, October 2 at 12:30 p.m. (central), Wednesday, October 11 at 2 p.m. (central), and Thursday, October 26 at 6 p.m. (central). Apply to the Yang Visiting Scholars Program in World Christianity at Harvard Divinity School
Applications are now open for the Harvard Divinity School’s Yang Visiting Scholars in World Christianity program. Applications are due Wednesday, September 30, 2023.
Responsibilities:
Each visiting scholar teaches one course (either in the fall or in the spring semester) and presents their research in a public lecture. Yang Visiting Scholars are required to be in full-time residence at Harvard Divinity School while carrying out their proposed research projects during the academic year. Any publication and/or research resulting from the stay at Harvard Divinity School must be credited to the Yang Visiting Scholars Program in World Christianity at Harvard Divinity School.
Eligibility:
Positions are open to early career and senior scholars with doctorates in the fields of religion and to those with primary competence in other humanities, social science, and public policy fields who demonstrate a serious interest in world Christianity and hold appropriate degrees in those fields. Selection criteria emphasize the quality of the applicant’s research prospectus, outlining objectives, methods, and publication plans, the expansion of expertise offered through HDS courses, and the significance of the contribution of the proposed research to the study of world Christianity. Yang Scholars for the 2024–25 academic year must have received the PhD (doctoral) degree by June 30, 2024.

CPE Opportunity with Presbyterian Homes and Services
PHS now offers Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) in our communities in assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, as well as through Optage home care and hospice. We are partnering with R.C.
