Student Council Special Election
Our election last week left us with two empty degree type representative seats on the student council:
- Distributed Learning MDiv Senior
- Distributed Learning MA CYF/LIM/CM/Lutheran Ministries Program
In order to fill these vacant positions, the student council handbook states that we will run a secondary election. If these positions remain vacant after the secondary election the officers of the student council shall evaluate if another election will be held, or the seat will remain vacant for the remainder of the term/year.
Nominations for these two positions are open now.
Nominations will close on Monday, October 16, at 3 p.m. CT and elections will open Tuesday, October 17, at 8 a.m. CT and close Thursday, October 19, at noon CT.
Please reach out to the election commissioners if you have any questions regarding the vacant seats or special election.
Sincerely,
Rachel Wyffels and Sarah Yotter

“Whoever Drinks … “: Spring Study Trip to Germany
“Whoever drinks beer, he is quick to sleep; whoever sleeps long, does not sin; whoever does not sin, enters Heaven! thus, let us drink beer!”
A fantastic spring study trip to Germany, the land of Martin Luther, is being planned for May 20-31, 2024 and will be led by Mark Tranvik, professor of Reformation history and theology at Luther Seminary. This will be an academic course for credit and the cost will depend on how many participate, costs will range from $2,300–2,800, not including airfare. The Reformation Research Center at Luther Seminary will help subsidize a portion of the travel costs for Luther students enrolled on this trip. If you are interested in participating or need more details please contact Mark Tranvik (mtranvik001@luthersem.edu) or Jody Nyenhuis (jnyenhuis001@luthersem.edu).
