Geopolitical Conflict in Jerusalem and Serbia: Our Role as Pastoral Leaders
Join us on Friday, February 10th at 9 a.m. CT for a one hour webinar sponsored by the course, Civic Action and Pastoral Leadership taught by Dr. Mary Hess. We will explore the geopolitical conflict in Jerusalem and in Serbia. Presenters are students in this winter term course, Bassem Thabet in Jerusalem and Kirsten Schlewitz in Belgrade, Serbia, and will be moderated by Kevin Eack in Illinois.
The entire Luther Seminary community is invited to hear these two speakers describe and share the impact these two conflicts have had on their respective populations, specifically on those who are being oppressed. What are the main drivers and levers in these conflicts?
Who are the enablers, including the policies of local governments, as well as external partners such as the U.S.? What could the role of pastoral leaders be within and outside these regions? These and other questions will be addressed in this presentation.
You can register here to receive the Zoom link, and the session will be recorded.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Spring Cyber Security Training Has Launched
To ensure all faculty and staff are aware of effective practices, Luther Seminary has subscribed to Cyber Security training from Curricula. Training faculty and staff ensures we remain compliant with the Title IV financial aid requirements for protecting student information as well as cyber insurance requirements. This training happens twice a year. Training reminders will be sent by email. You may also login in the training section of the Information Security Program page.
