TODAY: Pizza and Study Night
Wrapping up the last of your finals for the semester? Need dinner and some company? Join Pastor Jeni and the chapel staff in the OCC cafe today from 5:30-8 p.m. We will be bringing in pizza from Pizza Luce, with vegan options included.
TOMORROW: Christmas Treats, Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa—and Lunch!
Please join us tomorrow at 12:00 noon for lunch in the OCC Dining Room along with Christmas treats!
The Employee Engagement Team invites students, faculty and staff to gather over Coffee, Tea, or Hot Cocoa with a side of your favorite Christmas treat. Please bring along one or two dozen of your favorite treats to make this time of year and drop them in OCC Dining Room between 10–noon on Wednesday, December 14. Please feel free to come and go as you can between 12:00–1:30 p.m. as we gather before our Christmas/New Year Break.
We want to thank you all for your flexibility with the time changes. We wanted to find the best time so that everyone could come and enjoy the event. We hope to see you there!
If you have questions feel free to contact an EET member: Jon Anderson, Carrie Johnson, Sianeh Miller-Crusoe, Grace Pomroy, or Alison Roberts.
TOMORROW: Do-It-Yourself Nativity and Library Holiday Open House
Please join us in the Luther Library for a holiday open house, Wednesday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to noon; there will be snacks and holiday cheer for all and sundry. As a special treat, The Luther Seminary Players will present a light-hearted retelling of the Christmas story; think of it as an homage to those church Christmas pageants of old with shepherds wearing bathrobes and angels with halos askew. This is an audience participation event so we encourage as many as are able to attend—remember, the more the merrier—the program will start around 10:45 a.m.
Join Us for the “Eco-Faith Stuff Exchange”
Everyone on-campus during the first January RFS (January 9–13) is invited to participate in the Eco-Faith Team’s Stuff Exchange.
On Tuesday, January 10, make sure to attend chapel at 11 a.m. to listen to Dr. Padgett preach on an eco-faith theme and join us for a reception afterwards with hot drinks and baked goods. Let’s celebrate the abundance of community together!
All week, tables will be set-up in the “triangle area” in the upper part of OCC, across from the Cafe. Everyone is invited to participate in the Stuff Exchange: simply bring gently used items to contribute if you have them and take home items that you would use. It will be our own thrift shop–exchanging to prevent unnecessary purchases and waste. Distributed Learning students: pack something to exchange if you have room! Bags to carry items home will be provided.
Items may include: clothing, books, small appliances, picture frames, video games, instruments—whatever! Please make sure items are clean (please wash before bringing clothes) and usable. Please no swimwear or undergarments. Leftover items will be donated Friday night after the RFS.
