We are excited that the Fall semester and return to courses are quickly approaching! Faculty and Staff are working hard to prepare for many of you to come to campus this fall for your Residential Focus Session (RFS) courses.

We would like to invite those of you who joined us in our 3rd annual Summer Book Club (and those who are curious about it) to join us for our end of the summer celebration. This will be a chance to reflect on the amazing work of Keri Day (“Notes of a Native Daughter”) and look forward to how it can inform our work moving forward. The event will be Monday September 13th at 3:45 (CST). The Zoom link will be provided in the community announcements email.

If you have recently completed internship and/or are anticipating entering the First Call process in the ELCA this Fall/Winter, please plan to join this info session! You are invited to join in the conversation 12-1:30 p.m. Central September 15 (via Zoom). RSVP using this form for the Zoom link.

If possible, Region 3 and Region 5 candidates are invited to attend their region specific First call overview sessions instead.

Join us for two events to welcome faculty and staff back for the beginning of the school year!

TOMORROW, September 7 from 9-10am join us for a sweet or savory treat from Fruit & Grain Bakery along with your choice of beverage from Coffee Cart MPLS Espresso Bar: A full menu of handcrafted to order hot espresso drinks (including lattes, mochas, americanos, seasonal specialty drinks…etc) plus a few “non-coffee” options such as hot tea, an amazing chai latte, and hot cocoa will be available. You are welcome even if you did not RSVP.

On Monday, September 12 from 11am-12pm (Central) Alison Roberts and Grace Pomroy from the Employee Engagement Team will be hosting an online gathering with Luther Seminary Faculty and Staff. Join President Robin Steinke and your colleagues in a small-group setting via Zoom for a chance to hear what everyone is excited about for this upcoming year and play a few games! Everyone is welcome whether you’ll be working remotely that day or not.
