For the past six months, Luther Seminary has been in a process of listening to the community and identifying our strategic priorities for the next three years. As we prepare to share the strategic plan with the board at their February meeting, there are four listening sessions with students. These sessions will be co-hosted by a student council and the strategic planning design team. The first two sessions will take place on Wednesday (tomorrow), January 5. The in-person session will be after chapel at 11:45 a.m. in Dining Room C at Olson Campus Center (OCC) with Elizabeth Schoenknecht from Seminary Relations.
For virtual folks, you can join the session via Zoom at 3:15 p.m. Central the same day (Wednesday, January 5). The Zoom link will included in the community announcements email.
Your voice and participation are greatly appreciated. Please read this document before the session.
Thank you and blessings!

While supplies last, N95 masks are available to employees and students who are on campus for intensives. You can pick up a mask at the Information Desk in OCC. Medical experts recommend N95 masks instead of cloth masks.

The Stewardship Leaders Program at Luther Seminary was designed with students and future ministry professionals in mind. We provide a variety of financial wellness offerings, based on student input, in a shame-free zone. Talking about money is hard. Talking about money is emotional. Talking about money and figuring out how to be financially healthy is also very important – for everyone.
Visit our Financial Wellness Opportunities form to see all our offerings and choose the ones that meet your financial wellness needs. We will get you more information.
Our most popular offering is A Financial Wellness Conversation with Stewardship Leaders Program Director Grace Pomroy. Grace is a certified financial educator who can provide helpful information about budgeting, saving, investing, debt repayment, clergy/church finance, and many more topics. She brings years of experience and has a passion for all things related to money and ministry – and will help you decide what next steps would be most helpful for you.
To schedule an appointment with Grace, visit our Financial Wellness Conversations page and choose the time that works best with your schedule. If you have specific topics you want to discuss, please note it when you schedule.
Email questions to Arlene Flancher, financial wellness program coordinator (aflancher001@luthersem.edu).
Happy New Year! Cheers to Financial Wellness!
