The New Testament search committee has invited five finalists to be on campus and to address the seminary community as we, the committee, draw near to completing the work of identifying a nominee for a tenure-eligible faculty position. We urge all members of the seminary community — whether local or far away — to attend public presentations by each of the candidates. Each presentation will last about 30 minutes with time after for questions and answers. Here is the schedule:
Monday December 6, Amanda Brobst-Renaud, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Central in OCC 010 and via Zoom (link TBA)
Tuesday December 14, Ekaputra Tupamahu, 12:15-1:15 p.m. Central in Dining Room C and via Zoom (link TBA)
Thursday December 16, Israel Kamudzandu, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Central in OCC 010 and via Zoom (link TBA)
Friday December 17, Kristofer Coffman, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Central in OCC 010 and via Zoom (link TBA)
Monday December 20, Jennifer Pietz, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Central in OCC 010 and via Zoom (link TBA)
Students, look for a separate announcement with information about how you can also participate in conversations with the candidates when they are on campus. The committee is eager to hear what you think.
The search committee will be interested in receiving your impressions of the candidates’ public presentations. You can email those impressions to any of us: Matt Skinner (chair), Michelle Edgerton (student representative), Rolf Jacobson, Joy J. Moore (academic dean), Alan Padgett, Kathryn Schifferdecker, Robin Steinke (president), and Beverly Wallace.
We recognize that this is a very busy season for everyone. We hope you will nevertheless add these events to your calendar and make time for this, to provide a warm welcome to these finalists and to offer your feedback to the committee. Thank you very much.
Matt Skinner, search committee chair
