Justice and Reconciliation Program Gatherings

Posted on October 13, 2021

Are you in the Justice and Reconciliation program (either through an M.Div. concentration or as an M.A. student)? Please join in one of two opportunities to connect on October 21. The first is at 8 a.m. Central, and the second is at 6 p.m. Central. Both gatherings will take place on Zoom; the Zoom link will be included in the community announcements email.

This is a great time to share with each other what you care about, and what you’ve learned through your experiences at Luther, with students who are new to our community.

New Article From The Concord: Asking the Question

Posted on October 13, 2021

A new article has been published in The Concord! The title of this article is: “Asking the Question: From Funding Forward to Creating Awareness,” written by JJ Dollarhide-Godwin (they/them). The article covers the QPR Suicide Awareness Training offered to students and staff of Luther Seminary earlier this fall, and explores how this training came from Professor Grace Pomroy’s Funding Forward class in Spring 2021. The article continues to explore the impact that the training has already had upon the seminary community, and highlights students calling for more suicide awareness and prevention training both at seminaries and in church communities. To read it, you can go directly to the article or visit The Concord’s main website.
