What: Picnic with The Interns
Date: Wednesday, June 16
Time: Noon-2 p.m.
Where: picnic tables outside of Bockman Hall on Luther’s campus
Details: All are welcome. We apologize for all those out of state that won’t be able to join us. You are in our hearts!
Because we have a limited budget, it’s a BYOL “bring your own lunch” picnic. However, the first six individuals to RSVP to Amy VanValkenburg at avanvalkenburg001@luthersem.edu will be reimbursed for their lunch.
Qualifier: total must be $15 or less; submit your receipt–not a copy, but the original receipt–to Amy. You will know if you are selected to receive free lunch if you receive an email one day prior to the day of the picnic.
Our Intern sessions for this academic year have come to a close, so let’s picnic to celebrate a series well done! Since we won’t be meeting for sessions over the summer, we’ve included some alternatives:
We plan to do the summer book study with Professor Andy Root and Tripp Fuller. Hope you can join us! “Religion and the Spiritual Crisis in a Secular Age” is the topic. When is the summer book study? The class is offered asynchronously so you can participate fully without being present at any specific time. Six weekly streaming sessions will take place at 5 p.m. Eastern (4 p.m. Central) Tuesdays starting June 15. Sign up for the class today on the Religion and the Spiritual Crisis page.
Also, enter to win: “Religion in a Secular Age” Book Giveaway
Another opportunity: Minnesota Multifaith Network (MnMN) is offering an interfaith convening called “Discerning Our Moral Commitments Together: A Multifaith Conversation on Racial Justice and Human Dignity” 11 a.m-1 p.m. Central Thursday, June 17. Register by June 15 on the Discerning Our Moral Commitments Together page.
Peace,
The Interns, Dave and Amy
