Kirsten Fryer, pastor at Bethlehem in the Midway will lead our Holy Conversation today. We hope you can join us at 11 a.m. Central on Zoom for a powerful time together. The Zoom link will be included in the community announcements email.
Kirsten Fryer has been the pastor at Bethlehem in the Midway since September 2019. She was just nine months into her new call at Bethlehem when the neighborhood that she serves was upended in the days following the death of George Floyd. Almost overnight her church building became a pop-up distribution center for food and supplies. Prior to coming to Bethlehem, Fryer served as pastor of St. Andrew’s United Church of Cairo and pastoral associate at StARS (St. Andrew’s Refugee Services) in Cairo, Egypt, from 2013 to 2019 and associate pastor at Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee, Wisconsin, from 2009 to 2013. She studied at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (2009) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2005). Please join us for some meaningful conversation as we welcome Kirsten.
