Join us in chapel, led by special guests Rev. Cynthia A. Wilson, Ph.D., and Rev. Safiyah Fosua, D.Min., at 11 a.m. Central Wednesday, February 24.
Wilson serves as executive director of worship resources at the United Methodist Discipleship Ministries agency, supervising and guiding staff in the process of developing resources and training events with a primary focus on music, liturgy, and preaching. She is an ordained deacon under extension ministry appointment in the Great Plains Annual Conference, as well as a talented vocalist who was a Grammy nominee and was named Best Female Vocalist at the Gospel Choice Awards held in Atlanta (1998).
Fosua is a retired elder from the Greater New Jersey Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. She received her Doctor of Ministry degree from the United Theological Seminary of Dayton, Ohio, in Afrocentric pastoring and preaching. She is a well-published author and teacher whose current projects include work with emerging millennial writers for a new volume of “The Africana Worship Book” and the final stages of editing “Native Voices II,” a prayer and worship book for Native American congregations written by more than 50 Native American church leaders.
We invite you to read Wilson’s bio and Fosua’s bio for more information. We hope you can join us in welcoming these guests to our community on Zoom! The Zoom link will run in Wednesday’s community announcements email.
