Seniors, this is for you!
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa, has hosted a nationally distinguished pastoral residency program for the last 15 years. Two gifted first-call pastors spend the first two years of their ministry immersed in a dynamic congregation, heightening leadership skills and pastoral habits in profound ways. It’s full-time ministry with full salary and benefits as well as other program extras, geared especially toward those who enjoy active ministry, academic reflection, personal feedback, and collaborative work with a large, interdisciplinary staff.

St. Paul Lutheran Church is now receiving applications for senior seminarians who would begin their pastorate at St. Paul mid-August 2021. The church works closely with the graduating senior and his or her home synod bishop to help facilitate ordination and arrange for the call.
