CARES Act emergency funds for students

Posted on October 22, 2020

Luther Seminary will be sending eligible students who were enrolled at least half time during the fall semester $100 from the CARES Act funds for COVID pandemic relief. In cases where eligibility cannot be determined, students will be asked for the information needed to make the determination.

Due to federal regulations, students who are not eligible for federal financial aid are not qualified to receive the grant. (This includes most international students, non-degree students, and students enrolled in an all-online degree program such as an academic M.A.).

Luther Seminary has been allocated $37,066 for COVID pandemic relief through the CARES Act. The seminary initially used this fund to provide emergency relief grants to cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19 to qualified students. In addition, funds were distributed to all qualified students who were enrolled at least half time during the spring or summer semester.
