Luther Seminary has been allocated $37,066 for COVID pandemic relief through the CARES Act. The seminary initially used this fund to provide emergency relief grants to cover expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19 to qualified students. Because few qualified students have applied for relief, the remainder of the fund will be distributed to all qualified students who were enrolled at least half time during the spring or summer semester. Due to federal regulations, most international students, non-degree students, students enrolled in an all-online degree program (academic M.A.), students who are not eligible for federal financial aid are not qualified to receive the grant..
Qualified students will be mailed a $100 grant from the seminary’s pandemic relief fund on September 9. In cases where we are unable to determine a student’s eligibility, we have emailed them to ask them to provide the information we need to make the determination.
