Northwestern Hall – Door Locking Changes
Please note that we are changing the door locking procedures for NW Hall, now that so many employees have left the building and we anticipate low levels of student and other traffic in the near future. The new procedures take effect Tuesday, February 18.
Under the new procedures, all doors will remain locked at all times, EXCEPT when there is a class or other event scheduled in the building. At those times, the building will be unlocked 1/2 hour prior to the class/event starting and will be locked again at the scheduled ending time. The doors facing south (Hendon Avenue – hill) will be locked at all times.
Building access will now be via the electronic locks on the upper level entrance off of Fulham Street and the North entrance on the first floor to the parking lot. You should take the new procedures into account when parking your car and if you are staff/faculty who might be expecting guests.
This change is being made to maintain safety and security in the building.
Please let Ellen Elhard, Heidi Albers, or Michael Morrow know if you have any questions or concerns.
