This week: Wednesday, February 5th preacher is Dr. Ron Bell, Lead Pastor of Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Paul.
Pastor Ron’s area of specialty is in the engagement of Millennials and creating practical growth strategies for urban church planting. Ron has authored two books including “Bigger Than Hip Hop: 7 Questions for Effectively Reaching Young Adults in Ministry,” and “Is There Space For Me: Embracing Grief Through Art.” He has also co-authored several journal articles and released an album called “The Unplugged Project.” Ron has a Bachelor in Philosophy from Morgan State University, a Master’s in Theology from Regent University School of Divinity and a Doctorate in Ministry from Lancaster Theological Seminary.

Haydn’s “Seven Last Words of Christ”
Sunday, February 23rd, at 4pm, the Chamber Music Society of Minnesota is presenting Haydn’s “Last Seven Words of Christ” at Sundin Concert Hall at Hamline University. This special concert is being performed on the Sunday before Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. The Concert will be performed by esteemed artists Ariana Kim and Young-Nam Kim (violin); Anthony Ross (cello); and Sally Chisholm (viola), featuring Lou Ballamy as guest narrator.
