As you know, the Lilly Endowment Inc. recently notified Luther Seminary that we’ve been awarded a new $1 million grant, “Congregations in a Secular Age: Storytelling and Thriving.”
Effective January 1, Katie Langston shifted her role to director of digital strategy for Faith+Lead and related projects in support of the grant. She will continue to be a member of the integrated marketing-communications team with Augsburg as an executive communications specialist. She will retain the following duties on the integrated team:
Assisting with presidential communications
Writing board reports and summaries
Crisis communications assistance
Communications support for major Luther Seminary initiatives
Editorial assistance for Story Magazine
Supervision of student workers
Theological consultation for the integrated team
The following duties will be reassigned:
The day-to-day direction of student workers
Management of Inside Luther Seminary and luthersem.edu
Monthly E-Lert coordination
News release and announcement writing support
Augsburg A-Mail support
Luther social media support
A part-time contractor will be hired to assist with covering the remaining workload. Please contact Stephen Jendraszak, chief marketing officer, with questions about future communications needs.
