Why Jesus? A Spiritual Formation Experiment for Spring Semester

Posted on February 13, 2019

This semester, join Spirit Lab and the Aus Memorial Lecture Fund for an experiment in Christian formation.

Every Wednesday after chapel, starting on February 20 with Professor Lois Malcolm, hear faculty, staff, and students share their stories of faith as they answer two key questions: Why are you a Christian? What difference does Jesus make in your life?

Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your own experiences of faith (and share it with others, if you so desire!).

If you’re on campus, plan on coming to the Auxiliary Dining Room from 12:00-1:00 each Wednesday–lunch is provided.

If you’re a distributed learner or unable to make it on Wednesdays, the faith stories will be posted in a special Moodle module where the presenter and other faculty and student hosts will engage in ongoing conversation and story sharing.

Interested? Fill out this form to let us know you’d like to participate so that we can plan for catering and Moodle set-up: https://goo.gl/forms/fVX0tV7eAGEv1pw33

Questions? Reach out to Professor Kathryn Schifferdecker (kschiffer@luthersem.edu), Professor Dwight Zscheile (dzscheile001@luthersem.edu), Professor Alan Padgett (apadgett@luthersem.edu), or Spirit Lab Coordinator Bethany Ringdal (bringdal001@luthersem.edu).
