New Semester, New Chapel Opportunities
Greetings, friends! Our office is busy planning worship for the spring semester and we want to invite you to be involved in worship in whatever way you can. IMPORTANT DATES AND FUNDING INFORMATION for 2018/2019 J-Term and Spring Semester
Account Charges, Scholarships, Grants and Loan Fund Applications
(DMIN students have a different academic calendar; therefore, this notice does not apply to DMIN students.)
DATES FOR J-TERM AND SPRING TERM 2017:
1/14: J Term tuition charges and housing posted to your account. NO PAYMENT IS DUE.
2/4: Spring Semester begins.
2/18: Final day to add/drop classes for Spring Term without financial penalty.
2/19: Tuition and student fees for Spring Term will be charged to student accounts.
2/20: Scholarships, grant and loan funds for both J Term and spring terms will be applied to your student account. Only students receiving loans will be notified via email when the process has been completed.
3/1: Automated emails are sent to ALL STUDENTS instructing them to view their account balance.
Note: Similar emails will be sent to ALL STUDENTS on the first of each month.
Statements are mailed to students who have a balance owing.
o Contact the Financial Aid Office with questions at finaid@luthersem.edu.
o Contact the Business Office to set up a payment plan or to request refund checks at Busoffice@luthersem.edu.
o Financial holds are placed on student accounts when a balance is owing. Holds prevent you from registering for classes – see below date.
o
3/4: Checks will be mailed to any student who received federal loans and has a credit balance remaining.
3/15: Payment is due of any student account balance.

Public Presentation – Candidate for Professor for Biblical Preaching
The search committee for a Professor for Biblical Preaching has invited candidate Dr. Joy J. Moore to interview on campus.
Dr. Moore will offer a public presentation, followed by Q & A, on February 14th from 12:00-1:00pm in the OCC Chapel of the Incarnation. The presentation is open to the entire seminary community and all are encouraged to attend.
Live streaming will be available. Details to follow.
Dr. Moore holds a Ph.D. in practical theology from the London School of Theology and currently serves as Senior Pastor at Bethel United Methodist Church in Flint, MI. She has also held professorships and administrative leadership roles at Fuller Theological Seminary, Duke University Divinity School, and Asbury Theological Seminary.
