Come join in prayer, sharing lunch and sharing lives this Wednesday after chapel with Dr. Schifferdecker and Dr. Padgett in their monthly meeting. It’s a great time to talk about what’s happening with you and learn about others as we pray. We will meet a little later so people can go through the line and get some lunch. We meet upstairs in the OCC 213 small dining room.

J-Term Worship Lab Opportunity
Hello DL Community! Have you been anxious to put some of your best worship planning skills to the test? To spend a few hours in deep collaborative work with your DL classmates? Well, Spirit Lab has the perfect opportunity for you! The Thursday January 17th chapel service is designated to be a Worship Lab service planned and presented by DL students.
In order for this to happen, we will need a minimum of 5 DL students who will be on campus the week of January 14th. Students must commit to meeting on January 14th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, January 16th from 7:00 – 8:00 pm and then available for the worship service at 11:00 on Thursday January 17th.
Please e-mail Sara Jensen at sjensen001@luthersem.edu to join the DL worship lab team or if you have any questions.
Welcome new Contextual Learning team members!
The Contextual Learning team is excited to introduce our two new team members, Ashley and Catrina! Please stop by and say hello if you’re in Northwestern Hall.
Ashley Wheeler, Candidacy Coordinator
Ashley holds an M.Div from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. For the past three years she has served as the Operations & Office Manager for a national non-profit, Native Americans in Philanthropy. She is a chaplain at heart and served as a Chaplain Resident at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Ashley has a background in pastoral care, youth ministry, and storytelling. She is passionate about creating safe, inclusive spaces where everyone can feel heard and find their passions and calling in the ministry and in the world. She resides in South Minneapolis with her husband, Aaron, and their fur babies.
Rev. Catrina Ciccone, Program Coordinator for MDivX
Rev. Catrina Ciccone has served the church in a multiplicity of contexts: Lutheran Volunteer Corps, Washington DC; urban congregations in St. Paul and Minneapolis; and in a rural congregation near Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. Recently, Catrina was project assistant for the Learning Pastoral Imagination Project, and has recently been pursuing a PhD in Congregational Mission and Leadership at Luther. Catrina is excited to integrate all these different streams of experience in her new role with the contextual learning department.
