The Luther Seminary Green Team invites you to join us as we plan events for this school year. Reminder: Shared Faculty/Staff Learning Time

Posted on November 5, 2018

The Innovation Leadership Team will host our second shared faculty/staff learning time on Wednesday, November 7 from 1:30-3:00 pm in OCC 10 focused on defining critical challenges facing church leaders today. We will use listening work done on Tuesday with 12 ELCA bishops who will be on campus to pivot toward naming central challenges that we can help the church address through our education of leaders for Christian communities. This will be a creative, participatory, interactive session.

Questions? Contact Dwight Zscheile, VP of Innovation, dzscheile001@luthersem.edu or 651-641-3246.

Retreat Opportunity

Posted on November 5, 2018

Two spaces have opened up for next week’s Faith Forming Faith retreat. The Luther community is invited to join the Saint Paul Area Synod in an immersion retreat into the catechumenate, an ancient practice of spiritual formation.

This retreat, led by wise and experienced pastor and author of Faith Forming Faith, Paul Hoffman, will be a deep dive into the question “how do I become a follower of Jesus?” and will be both experiential and educational. We hope to bring some of this wisdom back to the Luther community, as we learn to do spiritual formation together.

When: Monday, Nov. 12 (5:30 arrival) -Wednesday, Nov. 14. (2:00 departure)
Cost: $150, after support from Spirit Lab. Further financial support available as needed.
Where: Christ the King Retreat Center in Buffalo, MN

If you’re interested in attending, please contact Spirit Lab coordinator Bethany Ringdal at bringdal001@luthersem.edu.
