As the Spirit Lab team listens to the Luther community, we keep hearing that 1) worship is important to the life of our community, but 2) chapel services aren’t always meeting diverse student longings and 3) plenty of students want more experience designing and leading worship.
We hear you, and we’re dreaming a regular student takeover of daily chapel! We’re calling it Worship Lab, and it is a space to experiment with public worship and grow as leaders. Our first takeover will be Thursday, October 25th at 11:00. This Worship Lab’s theme will be Joy and Lament, based on the lectionary texts for the day, Psalm 126 and Jeremiah 23:9-15.
All students are invited to join the adventure–all you have to do to help lead this service is show up at our one-time-only planning meeting this Thursday, October 18, from 9-11 in the Auxiliary Dining Room. No further commitment needed! Contact Spirit Lab coordinator Bethany Ringdal with questions at bringdal001@luthersem.edu.
