Spirit Lab – What is God up to at Luther?

Posted on September 11, 2018

For the second year, the office of the seminary pastor is supporting Spirit Lab, an ongoing experiment in spiritual formation for the Luther community. In class and at contextual sites, Luther students are being formed as theological thinkers and skilled leaders. The places where God is forming us into followers of Jesus are less obvious. Spirit Lab seeks to enliven, empower and stretch the Luther community to grow in God’s adventurous way of death and resurrection. We’re doing this by listening to God by listening to each other–and then engaging in faithful experiments as a community based on what we hear.

This year, Spirit Lab is being led by a cohort of three: Bethany Ringdal, Sara Jensen, and Esther Sianipar. We invite you to pray for this ongoing adventure in discernment and action, and to join the Luther Seminary Spirit Lab Facebook page for updates. We’d love to start our listening by listening to you; be in touch by e-mailing bringdal001@luthersem.edu or talking to Bethany, Sara or Esther at any time.
